Surrounded on all sides by the murky swamp, the grove had somehow flourished rapidly. Great trees and lush vegetation had sprung up with startling speed, and already life had come to make it its home. A small break in the perpetual dark clouds that covered the swamp allowed for sunlight to filter through into the grove, and whole new species of plants and [[animal]] life came to grow here. Of particular note is the sloth bear, not found anywhere else in [[Layonara]], this bear has the amazing ability of being able to stand, even run, on only two legs. Its brute [[strength]] is matched only by its incredible gentleness. It is seldom seen outside the grove.
