Named after the town's founder's wife in 1331, Meredith is a port town that sits on the shores of a calm inlet in Black Ice Bay. It is also Bastil's second most important human settlement. Its proximity to White Plains and its trade-favorable position along the southern coast has turned this former fishing village into a trading port.

Meredith is very like Winter's Breath in a great many aspects. Like the other port, the main source of income in Meredith is fishing. However, the town's proximity to White Plains turned the village into the gateway to the capital. The local folks still enjoy the simple life and live much like their brethren in Winter's Breath, but the town's lodgings are better, its cheese sharper, and even its songs more joyous.
