The Straits of Kheldell have only existed for a few hundred years. The northern most island of The Forsaken Isles chain was once part of Mistone, but volcanic eruptions, seismic activity and erosion have washed away the land bridge that connected them.

Stories told by the inhabitants of Kheldell say that when the tide is right and the sea calm and quiet, the bell of a sunken temple can be heard tolling out across the still waters, calling the followers of Mist to their ministrations. It is believed that there exists a sunken town, intact and inhabited by a populace of subterranean unliving'or at least this is the tale that is told by the parents of Kheldell to keep their children in their beds at night.
