Ulgrid Fortress

Hewn rock, from simple hacks to ornate friezes. The Ulgrid Fortress has an interior of pumice and andesite, with some special areas that have obsidian walls. The andesite walls often layer with the pumice, and as the andesite has a light brown shade, it creates a marbling effect that the Ulgrid dwarves often exploit for the aesthetically pleasing variegation.

The majority of the fortress is sized for dwarves; only a few areas on each level are large enough to accommodate humans or bigger. There is a high-ceilinged, columned temple to Vorax and a large shrine to Dorand within the fortress.
