When the cloud faded away months after it descended, neither the trees nor the elves survived. All that was left was an open, blasted moor: the Black Dog Moor. Dungeons and ancient ruins dot the moor, remnants of that long-dead elven civilization.

Long ago, an elven forest flourished in northeastern Mistone. Then, the elves were struck by one of the greatest calamities in their history, the Dark Disaster: a killing magic that took the form of a dark, burning cloud.
