The mountain chain known as the Firesteep Mountains can be quickly summed up as jagged and lava filled. This region is nearly insurmountable for anyone without wings or magic to aid them. The mountainsides are riddled with caves, some deep but most only shallow presentational openings. With these shallow cave entrances for cover and the overall instability of the region, the terrain in these mountains is ideal for ambushes and traps.
