The self tell is very similar to the tell, but is only visible to the player sending it. Self tells are created by using the command
=c
at the beginning of the text, followed by a space and then the command or check one wishes to use. Their usefulness is due to their ability to allow players to [[roll dice]] and use commands without cluttering up the chat window in game, which helps to preserve immersion.
The self tell is very similar to the tell, but is only visible to the player sending it. Self tells are created by typing a semicolon into the chat bar followed by the command one wishes to use, I.E.
;save
. Their usefulness is due to their ability to allow players to [[roll dice]] and use commands without cluttering up the chat window in game, which helps to preserve immersion.

Self tells can also be used in conjunction with [[language ears]] to speak in racial or special [[languages]] by using the
=l
command. For more information see the in game help section by typing
=c help

A few special systems such as [[language ears]] use other self tell commands, I.E. the
=l
command. The command
=c
works like the semicolon for most systems, but a few systems require using
=c
instead of the semicolon.

For more information see the in game help section by typing
;help
.
