A long time ago, the entire continent of Xantril was called the Roughlands. However, a climate change most likely brought on by the Cataclysm has caused the forests of Xantril to flourish and spreak. Some areas are still called the Roughlands and there, ancient ruins with long-forgotten purposes are all that break up the sand and shrub landscape.
