At any given time, there are five units of trained bowmen on the wall sections as well as formidable R'visred and Sob'ety officers to wield and defend against the forces of the weave. Reserves can be called forth from the castle towers if need be. An army hoping to lay siege to the castle would be doomed in their attempt. The inner walls contain ample water and food supplies for the court as well as the subterranean route for re-supply.
