Sometimes, when a character is waiting for a PrC, a player may wish to keep their experience points just below the value required to level. Other times, players simply do not wish for their characters to gain levels, for their own reasons.

Whatever the reason might be, Layonara has a system that facilitates this. By typing either "<toggle combat_xp>" or "=c toggle combat_xp" (without quotes), a character will no longer gain experience points for creatures killed in combat. (Note, this will not prevent them from gaining experience from crafting, roleplay XP, or experience from quests.)

As "toggle" suggests, repeating the command will allow the character to resume collecting experience from combat. The server messages window will display either "Combat XP turned On" or "Combat XP turned Off" as appropriate.
