Axis Lake: History and Rumors

Unbeknownst to the local inhabitants, Axis Lake was once a site of power revered by the T'oleflor. While it still retains some vestiges of its former power, the site has long since been forgotten about and has been adopted as a central meeting place for the island's inhabitants.

Many of the island's inhabitants call the huge inland lake their home and many villages and homes dot its edges. The lake is abundant in fish and other creatures which the brownies and other fey tribes supplement in their diets of fruit and berries and other plants from the forests. Though Girrac has no true capital city, it is at its center, in the ancient, worn circle of black basalt obelisks, that the creatures of the island meet once a year
