Fort Dragonsong: Defenses

Fort Dragonsong has a strong stone outer wall that encompasses the entire town and acts as one of the defenses against the neighboring kingdom. Its militia boasts a number of 340 men and a constant military presence that boosts this number to 2,200. The keep, a large square stone structure that stands as part of the defensive wall at its westernmost point, provides a privileged view of the surrounding lands and is constantly manned by watchers that cover the frontier not 20 statute miles away. At least 200 elite palace guards stand ready at all times, and several engineer-wizards live within the walls ready to ward and aim the anti-siege machinery that defends the keep.
 
Local troops report directly to the Swordmaster of the Code. The base camp for the Dragonsong army is 10 statute miles southeast of town, always with at least 2,000 men ready for action.
