The castle proper is built on a precipice of a high hill. It overlooks the valley with a nearly 360 degree view of the surrounding territories. On a clear day, the Crown and [[Mount Tarax]] can be seen to the west, flood plains of the Valland River to the east, the shores of the [[Dragon]] Straits north and the smoke of the chimneys of the [[Erilyn]] town of Guilt to the south.
