The castle proper is built on a precipice of a high hill. It overlooks the valley with a nearly 360 degree view of the surrounding territories. On a clear day, the Crown and Mount Tarax can be seen to the west, flood plains of the Valland River to the east, the shores of the Dragon Straits north and the smoke of the chimneys of the Erilyn town of Guilt to the south. The tree tops of the edge of the Wolfswood hide the activity of the forest floor.
