Many people feel they must follow a deity but the following of a god(dess) is not necessary.
- Most people on Layonara pay homage to multiple gods, depending on the need or situation.
- Does your character favor one god over all the others? This would suggest a deity field should be filled but also that other deities are not looked to by your character.
- There is ample evidence for the existence of gods so although atheism is virtually impossible, apathy to the gods is possible. Atheism would be viewed as an illness or symptom of greater personal issues.
- Remember that some classes (such as cleric) require an exclusive deity devotion and must be filled at character creation for proper functioning.
