Spanning the Dragon Isles and the Serpent Isles, the Sea of Scales is so named for its islands rather than for any specific physical feature it possesses. The sea is, however, reputed to be the home of an enormous sea dragon. Travelers on this sea all regard any distant flotsam with caution, as sailors still claim that the sea dragon lurks beneath.
