Boyer's Fort: Defenses

Boyer's Fort is exactly what it sounds like, a fort. One designed by an experienced veteran of wars. It is a heavily fortified city with very thick and sturdy stone walls surrounding the inner city built atop the hill. Another ring of masonry ramparts surrounds the rest of the city. Two main gates are built into the east and west sides of the city's outer wall, but it is rumored that there are secret exits concealed in the walls and buildings. Two main gates on the north and south walls grant passage into the inner ring. Large barracks and stables are located adjacent to the palace and several others are located throughout the city. A large part of the standing army is maintained within these barracks; although, a significant portion is always deployed throughout the kingdom.
