Castle Driran: History and Rumors

Built over four centuries ago, the keep remained relatively intact during the occupation because it served as a regional headquarters for the occupiers, while the walled city under it was damaged and its great population dwindled. When the yoke was thrown and the Starphire family assumed their stewardship, the distraught populace turned to the city for safety and shelter. Until recently, the city struggled with a population much larger than expected; although, thanks to the series of works that the Regina started, basic services are now readily available.

Driran Keep, the seat of Regina Elena's power, lies atop a bluff off of the Driran Inlet on the eastern part of the town. Its great rectangular shape, defined by thick stone walls, represents hope for the people because only its three highest levels are closed off from the population with the rest open to the public.
