Ahrathk Laharz

Ahrathk is the engineer who oversees all of the city's stonework. His abilities have made him the most important dwarf in Cel. His roads are the straightest and his ditches are the deepest--facts that he constantly rubs into his elven counterpart's face. He is a typical dwarf and enjoys a good laugh, brew, and fight during work hours.

Wallela Semill

Wallela acts as head engineer for all of the city's wooden structures, and is in charge of both the import of wood and the construction of many important buildings. Wallela's sharp elven eyes and great mastery of wood have revolutionized the rebuilding efforts of Cel. While his friend Ahrathk and his workers dig the ditches and lay down solid foundations for buildings, Wallela and his crew work at binding and fortifying wooden walls, floors, and ceilings with the minimum amount of nails. The use of bindings made of natural materials, including the ever-plentiful mud, has not only reduced the cost of each house but has also allowed them to use materials discarded by conventional carpenters.
