This characteristic is lore centric as much as completing the stat block. In some locations around the setting the gender of your character can affect how your character is treated by PCs and NPCs alike. It may also have affected how the character grew up and was treated prior to striking out as an adventurer (or being called to a faith or any version of making the transition from NPC to PC).
