Gulf of Co'rys

The seas of Layonara are not without their mortal dangers, either. The Gulf of Co'rys might seem like a welcoming place to those looking to weather a storm, but the placid appearance of the waters is deceptive; pirates and their ilk crowd the Gulf. Unwary merchant ships travelling in or near the Gulf often fall victim to pirate raids. Wary of the Gulf's reputation, most merchants either give it a wide berth or hire an able crew -which sometimes includes adventurers -to defend themselves. Pirate activity in this area also makes it an attractive site for adventuring, since pirates often have plundered treasure in their possession.
