Lake Mills

Lake Mills is north of the Broken Mountains. The western shores of Lake Mills are idyllic and peaceful, and have also been cleared of all the signs of the elven race. These shores now host the rich manors of the northern aristocracy. The lake's eastern shores lie barren for fear of what lies at the Begotten Ruins, many statute miles to the east.

Lake Mills was previously known by ancient elves as Cessamelv Cilna (Golden Lake) because it used to reflect the sun's early morning rays on the white marble tower that crowned its western shore. Although the origin of the lake's older name is still remembered, the tower collapsed long ago, during the Cataclysm.

Cold streams flow or cascade into the lake from the adjacent mountains. The lake waters are rumored to possess a slightly salty taste.
