Lor: Defenses

Lor is surrounded by an old but well-maintained wall of reinforced stone with one main gate in and out and two auxiliary gates. While the massive wall is showing its age, it is both thick and tall and has so far not been breeched. Trebuchets line the tops of the wall and there are protected tower rooms for mages to rain arcane death down upon hostile forces. Beyond that, the port is almost always ready to evacuate women and children and many of the homes in Lor have passages to natural underground tunnels leading away from the city.

Lor has a town guard a thousand strong; most of them stationed around the bustling docks. For further protection, Castle Mask's soldiers would be employed to defend the port city.
