The enigmatic and secretive elves of Voltrex have perhaps the most beautiful warships upon the oceans: the Enyaill Nelala or Ocean Kiss vessels. Tall, graceful and deadly, these glittering ships take everyone's breath away. They have large, silvery sails, magically enhanced silken ropes, and are constructed from blue-hued timber which gives them perfectly formed hulls.
Hidden within these beautiful ships lies the magical power of the elves. The fabric of the sails allows for the slightest breath of wind to propel the ship forward, and the sailor's adage that an elven ship is never becalmed is absolutely true. The ropes which hold the large sails in place cannot burn, nor can they be cut by non-magical blades. The decks and hull of each ship have also been magically reinforced, both in order to reduce the chance of burning and to strengthen the timber against any damage, be it from the oceans or enemy vessels.
In terms of firepower, these ships have placements for up to one hundred weapon platforms. Though the platforms hold weapons typically seen on warships throughout the realms, even these details are of elven design; weapons tend to be well crafted and as beautiful as they are deadly, sometimes even mistaken for ornamentations. Elves tend to prefer using spellweavings to attack their enemies, and a number of protected platforms exist on which spellweavers, spellgrowers and other magic users can stand in relative protection while they launch magical attacks or defend their ships against the Al'Noth.
While these large and stately ships seem formidable, they are not indestructible. There are relatively few of the Enyaill Nelala, and they are predominantly used to patrol the waters around Voltrex to ensure nobody makes landfall without permission. The amount materials, magic, and manpower required just to build an Ocean's Kiss--let alone sail and crew one--is large, and the elves do not allow anyone to build one of these vessels outside of Voltrex.
