Rael Kingdom: Military

Of the 25,000 troops that swarmed Prantz, over 5,000 died in the initial attack. Several thousand more disappeared in the confusion, deserters to a cause they were not sure of to begin with. Left are the most loyal or the most afraid to leave.

Made up of a mix of humans, Deep dwarves, very few gnomes, fewer halflings, and a handful of elves, the army now resides in constantly-trained battalions around Rael. One battalion is responsible for naval functions at Seawatch Fort, 10 battalions rotate through Fort Rael (the main training grounds for the army and the Adamantium Guard), three battalions are at Fort Hold, two battalions at Anvil, two battalions of rangers are at Fort Love, and one special brigade of Lord Rael's most highly trained soldiers and guardsmen fill the barracks in Prantz. In a separate building near the barracks of Prantz, resides the All'ra, because they do not mix with the rank and file.

Lord Rael requires his active military to train regularly and engage in both defensive and offensive war games. He also subjects his town guard to this, to better their readiness. The Prantz Officer Army Corp, once dedicated to the Waylend line, has been renamed the Rael Officer Army Corp and is now a proving ground for any soldier in Lord Rael's army who wishes to move beyond the enlisted ranks. The training for those who would lead Lord Rael's forces is said to be horrific and sometimes deadly; certainly, no being that ever completed it alive can be considered the same as before. Absolute unwavering loyalty to Lord Rael (until death) is the prime attribute of the successful Rael Officer Army Corp enlistee.

Aside from a special brigade of battle clerics and front-line healers of Sulterio, however, there is no magic at all in Lord Rael's army.
