Taur'en Kingdom: Notable People

King Thomas Bydell: The current monarch is a bit of an enigma. Few even within his own court can claim to know the man well. As there is no official consort of the king, his celibacy has lead to rumors ranging from him preferring the discrete company of young men to him pining over the lost love of a maiden. Whichever it might be there is strong pressure from within the castle for an heir to be produced. Taur'en could not withstand both a civil war and the constant skirmishes with Sagewald.

Troubadal Lightfinger: Probably the most wealthy halfling in all of Taur'en if not all of Alindor. He has made his fortune legitimately in the shipping trade but there are many that feel the halfling now eyes the crown with as much fervor as he once did the open oceans. He has a common look to him that makes blending into a crowd easy especially given is regular stature. Some claim that he has had training in some of the arts of stealth and disguise.

Bertha Stoneforge: This female dwarf could likely turn a man to stone with her stare. Though many of her clansmen would deny being afraid of the buxom matron with the sharp tongue, most would heartily agree to respecting the lass. She is the backbone of the liaison with the dwarven clans and the outside forces of Taur'en. She is the daughter of a Voraxian priest who married a Dorandite craftswoman.
