Previously, there was hardly anything that could call itself the army of Bilkan. It is only with the recent trouble with the Telish Throne that an organized infantry was assembled. The vast majority being stationed at the border near Traveler's Last Hope in north Bilkan where most skirmishes with Telish have taken place.

A detachment remains at Bilkan Castle for defense, but these are merely hastily conscripted militia: farmers and workers quickly trained and armed to serve as footsoldiers. If it were on this basis alone, Bilkan Castle would be poorly defended. But it is not this small infantry that removes the idea of attacking the capital from the minds of potential invaders; it is the presence of the Del Alorion. Rumored to be from some secret guild situated in the west, a contingent of Del Alorions arrived and pledged total support to the mido, offering their services as his personal protectors for some unmentioned deal, which many have wondered over, but many believe it was a wise decision nonetheless.

The Del Alorions patrol the castle and its surroundings and keep a careful guard over the mido at all times. They wear dark purple clothes and cloaks in order to be recognized, and they rarely speak unless it is to issue orders. Their skills are the likes of which the farming people of Bilkan had never seen, powerful mages, exceptional fighters, and those that can call down the wrath of the gods.

A total of 50 Del Alorions guard Bilkan Castle; it is believed this would be more than enough to repel a small army attacking the city.
