Laws are nice, but they should not impose a barrier toward the flowering of society. The kingdom leans toward benevolence and sharing and there is none better to demonstrate this than the regina. Her keep in Driran serves as a hospital, resting home, school, and library for the population and is quickly gaining renown for its excellent services that she personally oversees.

Internal policy focuses on the distribution of aid and education of the population so that they might make a living for themselves from the land. The hearty and stout grains developed in Dragonsong have been acquired, and Driran farmers have already started to provide breads and flour for the populace. State hired rangers are common; they travel with caravans and provide guidance so that the population may help themselves. This, despite its utopian tones, has worked remarkably well since hunger and fear motivate even the most stubborn into learning new ways.

Foreign policy, which was once guided by the Dragonsong doctrine, now sways strongly to provide for the population's needs with trading treaties to allow more access to raw materials and basic industrialized goods. Wood products, including books and parchment, currently lead the exports but the strong naval industry has started to show signs that Driran might, one day, assume a strong position in the naval world.
