Corsain's city of pleasures, Eastern Gate, is where a full purse will buy you everything your heart desires. Home to Driran's largest fishing fleet, it is a portal to the eastern lands and the place where the men of the army come when on weekend leave. Betting, drinking and eating, the best restaurants, taverns, inns and ale, along with all the other delectations that weary travelers might want are all here.

The dock's district has colorful houses that sit on the incline that slopes upward from the docks to the city above, greeting visitors and seafarers alike. This aspect of the town is not an unpleasant one. The streets are clean and the public works are effective; nonetheless, wealthy merchants and captains do not wish to have their gentle daughters brought up in Eastern Gate. In fact, there aren't that many reputable young women in town as most of them take their studies in the western towns of the kingdom.

Eastern Gate has always held such a reputation. During the period of Dragonsong's rule, the nobility turned a blind eye to the docks as long as certain aspects of its fame were kept indoors. During the occupation, it became one of the few places not ransacked by Bloodstone's troops for they too drank from its well of pleasures.

When Elena Starphire began her crusade of rebirth, Eastern Gate was the first to side with her, and when she ascended to regina, a week-long celebration was held in her honor.
