Within the Forest of Drakes, vast, ancient oak trees stretch skyward, forming a dense canopy of leaves. The ground in this region is a very difficult to traverse because of the large up-thrusts of rock-like fingers that seem to be trying to claw their way up from the earth. This forms deep gullies, sudden drops and impenetrable barriers of rock and trees. It is the hardest and most dangerous place to travel on foot in the entire island.
