Telish Throne: History and Rumors

Honor and tradition. If the rule of the Telish Throne could be condensed to two concepts, these would be it. Children are brought up with respect and discipline; adults are expected to refrain from idle gossip. Orders from someone with higher rank or station are obeyed. How one comports oneself is a primary indicator of one's breeding and manners are set in stone. The ona-ko-do is different from the Dragonsong Code, but the base that they sprang from is the same.

These ideals come down through the stream of time, weathering massive events and near-total devastation of the island, continuing to infuse each generation with the mindset that has produced one of the finest militaries in the world. But it has been a long and rocky road, and although the kingdom is young, the foundation it is built upon runs deep indeed

The very beginnings of the island chain that the Telish Throne resides on have been tackled by scholars for centuries. Of these, the most dedicated was the elven lady Ademia, whose interests lay with the fabled island her ancestors came from called "Cal'ar". Some time ago a volume of her work was discovered entitled Cal'ar: A Legend of Fact. Kept quiet by the elves of Voltrex for the last century, just recently have a limited number of copies been released to others who make a lifetime of anthropological study and the Layonara Surveyors Consolidated was fortunate enough to receive one.
