Conceived in Alindor, the Morholt Trader--as this type of ship is referred to--has had a long and distinguished service throughout its continent of origin. Even though the ship possesses both an older, more traditional style of sail and a double ended hull, it is the superior method of carrying large loads of cargo across the rivers and lakes of Alindor. The flat floor of this boxlike vessel is suitable for both crates and livestock.

There is generally a small cabin located at the stern of each vessel, which can hold a limited number of passengers. The rest of the space is reserved for cargo. The masts can be lowered so that bridges can be negotiated easily. The ship is commonly seen on the waterways throughout Alindor and a large number of these barges are also in use in Mistone and Dregar.
