High Justiciar Reus, Healer of Rofirein

This tall, thickly built man, once a powerhouse in the Church of Rofirein, appears weary. His grey eyes are clear and sharp but a topographical map of wrinkles betray his years, along with a good bit of silver salting his golden bristle of hair and still-impressive handlebar mustache.

Reus, who does not disclose his last name, has said that he began in the Church of Rofirein at the age of fourteen and has been there ever since. He has witnessed triumphs and heartbreak and great personal loss, and although his faith seems as strong as ever, it is clear that he no longer fights to make change and enforce law as he once did. He has been the face of the Rofirein Church in Fort Vehl for twenty years, and as such has an intricate knowledge of the officials (and unofficials) of the town, even (it is said) making friends with a few. And although he will offer encouragement to any young fire-breather who wants to forge a new law in Co'rys, he seems resigned to maintaining the status quo rather than fighting those battles himself.

Arkolio Salvorre

Arkolio is a man of average height and lean, carved from years of adventuring and swordplay. His skin is pale and his iron-grey hair tied back; he is clearly wealthy and comfortable showing it, not usually being seen without a large amount of flashy and expensive jewelry studded with diamonds and emeralds. His manner is said to be both sharp, weary, and yet slightly amused at everyone around him. Lately there has been word that he is dead but no corpse has been produced -and more importantly, someone is still conducting business in his name in Fort Vehl.

Vilma

A head taller than most men, with black hair cut pageboy short and outfits entirely of deep black leather, Vilma could easily be seen as a caricature -until one meets her. She runs the Merchant's Guard with a sharp efficiency not seen in the Co'rys military, and her guards return the favor with a fearful but tangible respect. How she elicits crisp and reasonably corruption-free service from what are essentially brigands and thugs seems to be a combination of expectations, rewards, and if required, punishment. What kind of punishment is hush-hush, but speaking with any of the Merchant Guard will give the same response -you don't mess with Vilma. You just don't.
