Telish Throne: Notable People
Mido Gunther Telish is the spitting image of his mother with coal-black hair and eyes set in the leathery skin of a sea captain. Of middle height and build, he commands with his presence and not his size. Even now after his accident he still has days when his quiet conviction and spiritual center can move the most hardened cynic. Sadly, he also has days when a wrinkle in his jacket will have him raging at the washerwomen. Kagi Himira Tomeric is an elf of around three hundred years. He was the Keitai of Enka for roughly half his life, inheriting the post from his uncle. His pale blue eyes are usually calm, his rust-red hair unruffled, although lately he has appeared strained and the lines that normally don't grace elven features until much later in life have begun to crinkle when he smiles, which is rare these days. He bears the slight stature and unusual freckles of his family line and the quiet peace of a follower of Toran. The kagi is widely considered one of the wisest men in the land and is often consulted by merchant lords and other prominent figures as well as the techu and meja-. He is married to an elven lady from Voltrex and they have two young children.
Iian meja-Domira is often mistaken for a dwarf. Standing only a few fingers over five feet tall, he's broad and muscular, and wears a beard because it amuses him to watch people sputter. He has developed a strong trust with his men, although the weight of surviving the assault from Bloodstone has put a sag in his shoulders. He can be rash now, some say as a result of shame; but despite that he barrels on, training and recruiting and rebuilding the front lines of his Mido's army.
Techu Andrew Navashou came into his position abruptly when a flotilla of Sinthar's ships sunk the flagship of the Telish' fleet. When the Frederick went down and one of the highest ranking members of the Rohden Alliance with it, he was thrust into the captain's seat and immediately set about organizing and preparing, ordering at least one-third of the ships on the sea at any time. He did this in a power vacuum, understanding that action must be taken even if there was no one to issue orders. For his swift action that saved almost forty percent of the navy, he was granted his current title from Mido Gunther and has been a steady and innovative leader since. He was unable to commit to the deception of his liege, however, although he agreed to remain silent about the matter.
Brisbane is a half-elf druid, her slanted eyes and unusually graceful ear points leaning heavily toward her elven side. She has long auburn hair and eyes the color of new leaves. She is tall, the size of an average human, and her stride and mannerisms are reminiscent of a female bear; protective of those things she cares for and strong-willed. She is often seen in her bear form when in the wilds. She restored the Grove of Slumber in Bilkan and was instrumental in the healing of the Swamp of Reawakening. She has also brought bears back to the southern part of the island and is leading the effort to reintroduce them, as well as aiding the druids under her in replanting and tending the new forests.
