Champion of Vorax

The Mithril Axe is the symbol of the champion of Vorax. It is a miniature double-headed battle axe, worn as a pendent and shines so bright that the metal seems almost white, signifying a true hero of the church. It is awarded to those who do a specific, monumental deed for the faith. In one case, a young female rescued orphaned infants from a temple under attack by dark elves; in another, a warrior single-handedly defended a caravan of acolytes from a massive kobold ambush. Recipients do not have to be members of the church, but they must be followers of Vorax, and it is the Council Vigilant that decides who is worthy of this honour. Vorax's first Champion, Rainstorff, was blessed over a millennium ago and created the Order of the Valorous Axe from his Red Axe warriors. Under his example, it has become the custom for all within the temple who achieve the Mithril Axe to take the title of Champion along with the name of whichever order he or she serves. Theses titles include the Red Axe Champion, the Valorous Axe Champion, and the War Priest Champion.

Epic Champions of Vorax

The Epic Champion of Vorax is the pure embodiment of what it means to wear the Mithril Axe. They have become focal points for their various organizations or followers, often leading them to battle with the bravery, valour and honour that have come to define them.

• Skill Points at Each Additional Level: 2+ Int Modifier
• Bonus Feats: The epic champion of Vorax gains a bonus feat every four levels.
• Special:
  • Sacred Defense: Saving throws continue to improve by +1 for every 2 levels.
  • Divine Wrath: Every five levels the attack, damage and saving throw bonuses increases by a further +2.
