Human: Relations, Environment, Society, Religion

Humans live short lives; therefore, they live their lives to the fullest. This normally means they are in constant observance of their surroundings. In addition, many seek the attention of those they meet'sometimes for the best and sometimes for the worse.

Relations with humans are only prone to one thing'unpredictability. One tribe or city may strive to keep a constant exchange of goods and merchandise with nearby villages, another may be completely isolated and keep entirely to themselves.

No environment is capable of keeping humans away. From cities in vast plains, frozen mountain holds, barren desert tents, to the thickest of forests, the only impediment humans normally face are the locals. Their expansionist nature normally puts them against the non-expansionist mentality most races on Layonara possess.

Because humans value tradition, many forms of government exist and, for the most part, have been present for a long time; matriarchy or patriarchy, feudal or imperial, tyranny or democracy, or oligarchy'all these are valid social structures that a human community may adopt. Yet, the most common that is seen across the lands is that of a feudal structure where a single individual or a small group of individuals rule the masses.

Religiously, humans normally gravitate toward human deities. However, unless strictly devoted to a cause, they worship or pay tribute to non-human deities depending on the situation. They are just as likely to thank Deliar during a successful trade as they are to thank Dorand for keeping their new possession durable and firm. Most organized cities also have militant arms that follow either Rofirein or Toran. At the same time, inns and ballroom halls worshiping Xeen and Shadon are not uncommon. As with everything human, religion is characterized by diversity.
