Gi is near the Forest of Voices in the gentle hills past the Spine Mountains and near the border of the Bilkan Kingdom. Deer and chindan monkeys sometimes wander through the town, nibbling on plants found in home gardens or just taking a curious look at the peaceful folk that live and work here.

Every home has a garden. The majority of the people of Gi are vegetarians, and aside from a few chickens, there is no livestock in the taun. Trade with Enka is also strong for both fish and produce.

The buildings are set in and around the forest outskirts giving it a very organic feel. All of the architecture in Gi is of the traditional style and the sloping roofs are reminiscent of tree branches curving outward. Trees are everywhere, and shade is plentiful. Footsteps are muffled on the leaf- and pine-needle strewn ground. The low, simple houses all seem to have porches for meditations or chats and everywhere the ring of hammer on steel from the small sheds and craft houses mingles with the sharp tang of wood smoke.

The road past Gi leads west to Denshou and Enka and southeast past Skyline Lake to Hiso and Creedo.
